With the end of the year comes no shortage of postcard-worthy photo opportunities, especially on days when the entire family is together under the same roof. For most folks short of professional photographers, the chore of lugging around a digital camera has been made obsolete by the popularity of the smartphone. Each year, smartphone cameras become more powerful and sophisticated, meaning it's easier than ever to snap great shots from your mobile.

As the last entry into the top tier device group for 2014, LG had a lot to live up to. Given the overwhelming success of the Galaxy S5 and the juggernaut that is the iPhone, there was little room for another player. The In's and Out's of Video Chatting
Now that universities are in full swing and everyone’s settled into their new scenery (students new living situations / parents new exercise room?) there’s got to be that little nagging voice of missed communication. Even though you could always pick up your phone and dial their number, you still can’t get that “in person” feeling with just a voice call. But with recent advancements in mobile technology,( well, upgrades are more like it) you can still tell Mom that her hair cut looks nice and she can still yell at you for your dirty laundry being all over the floor. Here are several great apps that really do the trick at keeping that connection strong.

If you happen to be sporting a Motorola Droid X2 in your back pocket (or in your handbag) you'll be happy to know that there is an update headed your way. Well, headed the phone's way, so until you get it, keep the phone out in the open, not in a pocketbook or at the bottom of a bookbag or in your pocket. That's why sometimes others get their upgrades faster, because their phone caught the signal first. If you are still reading this, you are either extremely gullable or you know what a goofass I am. Of course, none of that is true! Your phone will get the upgrade OTA (Over-the-Air) regardless of where it is! What you can do however is pull in the upgrade if it's available by going to Menu>Settings>About Phone>System Updates. It'll either say, "Your device is up to date!" or if it is available to you. it will alert you that you have an OTA update.
