Hosting New Year's can be stressful: there are so many things to keep track of before the ball drops! Utilze smartphone apps to help you prepare your end-of-year celebrations, from sending out invites to ordering champagne to toast 2017. Get ready to count down with the latest tech!

Evite

Make sure your family and friends know about your New Year's party before it starts with Evite. Many email users may know Evite as a desktop service - it has since also become an app for both iOS and Android. You can include crucial information right in the app's invitation, including your address - which can link to your GPS apps to help your guests arrive right on time.

Pinterest

Pinterest is a hub of DIY inspiration for decorations and dishes. This free app, for both iOS and Android, lets users pin their favorite ideas in one location to return to later. For craft projects they like, members can find bloggers who offer step-by-step directions and a new feature lets you check off if you tried a project or recipe and see a vote if others recommend it.

TaskRabbit

Before the guests arrive, make sure your place is New Year's ready! You can use TaskRabbit with its free iPhone and Android apps, to call for help with cleaning the apartment, setting up additional chairs or even hanging festive lights. This app lets you post a price and a "Rabbit" can respond and help you get ready.

FoodGawker

For food that will leave your guests drooling - and then immediately pull out their smartphones to snap a photo - FoodGawker is the perfect app. This app, available on iOS, offers recipes with photos to help you make all different kinds of appetizers, desserts and sharing plates. With a range of different types of food to choose from, along with step-by-step directions, it will make preparing a breeze.

Drizly

No toast is complete without champagne and a few spare bottles of wine. But who has time to run to the liquor store on one of the most popular holidays of the year? Drizly is here to help. Just type in your ZIP code on this app, made for both iOS and Android, and you can use Drizly to choose your favorite bottles. Then Drizly will deliver bottles of bubbly to your door from one of several local liquor stores. You can also choose if you need your bottles within the next hour or simply today.

Instgram

This app has become quintessential for photo sharing. Guests can capture the night perfectly and then crop their photos and choose from a long list of filters before uploading them onto the app for their friends to see. This free app is available for both iOS and Android. To share your 2017 celebrations with all of your networks, you can also post to Twitter and Facebook from within the app.
