Okay, try to keep up because God knows I'm having trouble!
Since my last Wake Up Wednesday blog, we've seen and used the HTC Ozone. Nice litle Global Smartphone for 50 bucks. The Blackberry Tour finally made its debut. Its already getting alot of buzz.
Here's what else you can expect from Verizon before years' end.
Not much heard from Motorola lately, but they plan to launch the Motorola Entice or Harmony (W766) in August. This will replace the W755.
Also due out in August is the Samsung Rogue (u960). Damn, these names are getting good! This will replace the Glyde.
LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 Well, I'm thinking the name says it all. But will it be a Touchscreen that comes in the form of a slider or a flip? It may resemble the BL40 (4-inch multitouch-sensitive display, aspect ratio of 21:9, scratch-proof glass surface, aGPS and Wi-Fi receivers.)
The much talked about Blackberry Storm 2 or will it be called the Thunder? Expected October/November 2009. The keys on the front are now touch-sensitive as well, and the screen no longer uses the SurePress technology, which made the display of the first Storm uncomfortable to use, 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS and a full HTML browser. So it sounds like what the original Storm should have been like.
Nokia Shade replacing the Mirage 2605
Nokia Twist; possible swivel-styled phone.
Pantech Escapade. Another SIM card loaded Global Phone, This is a flip, much like the Samsung Renown. 2MP Camera, QVGA, 2.5mm jack and its lacking a MicroSD.
Samsung Omnia II (i920) expected out by Christmas and two more Samsungs will fill up Samsung's stable before the end of the year: Samsung u550 with Mobile TV service and the Samsung Strut (u440), what no nickname?
Four new Push to Talk devices: Motorola V860, Samsung Convoy (u640), Casio Rock c731 (said to be Boulder replacement) and lastly the Casio Brigade (c741)
Palm Pre It is already getting excellent reviews after its Sprint launch on June 6 with its 3MP Camera, 8GB Built-In Memory, Full QWERTY and 3.5mm Jack. Now we just have to wait until January 2010. The PalmTreo 800W might follow in its footsteps arriving around February 2010.
Look for more details and photos on these devices and more in my weekly "Wake Up Wednesday" new phone report. It's hump day after all, we all need a good waking up to get us through the rest of the week. What's better than new technology to do that? Redbull? Well that might be right for some of you.
