New Verizon Mobile Commerce Investment
Do you have about 20 of those darn keytags hanging from your keychain like I do? I have more tags than keys!

There's a good reason for it, SAVINGS! Well, let me backtrack, 9 times out of 10 its a loyalty card for your grocery store, pet store, tanning salon or some other retail outlet that offers savings. The 10th time its a gym pass that simply gains you access, letting them know you are a member.
Here's some good news for you, Verizon is joining up with CardStar to work those into a service on your phone so you can quit schlepping those around on your keys and capture them on your phone. If you have an Android device, you may already have them captured on your device.

Verizon is looking to incorporate it into a mobile commerce program. VzW is already working on a payment program using your phone. This program will capitalize on joining the loyalty, reward and club programs with mobile technology.

Updates, Schmupdate!

Everyday there is a news update on which Droids are getting updates and whuch are not. Apparently, the Droid 2 gets one, and probably has already been pushed to your phone.(version 2.2.20.en.US). It's minor but here's what to look for:

• Enabled text and picture message scrolling.
• Streamlined set up of Visual Voice Mail feature.
• Improved contact sync with Corporate Exchange categories
• and groups.
• View accurate contact pictures when reviewing Recent Call Log.

The Devour is not getting one but if you have been in the market for Android, this particular model is very inexpensive and has a fantastic integration for social media as well as a Universal Inbox. Check out this fun Devour Video starring Megan Fox!

The LG Ally will get Froyo 2.2 in the Sept/Oct timeframe but it may not be able to run all of the Froyo offerings. Further testing will discover that prior to its release.
